Augmented Reality (AR) is the technology that shows us the digital augmented contents – images, sounds, texts, and other sensories – over real-life environments via devices. To use the AR Technology, users can activate their smartphone’s camera to see the AR world on the screen.
The Micro contact lens embedding augmented reality which shows the information inside of it has been revealed by the Mojo Vision, California-based tech startup. The forthcoming Mojo lens contains 14k pixels-per-inch micro-displays to present health tracking and other data, and also contains wireless radio, image-recognition tech.
The ‘Mojo lens’ are considered as medical devices. The company has revealed that the lenses are still in the stage of development, but they demonstrated the prototype of the Mojo lens’ working, and they planned an early stage of the product designed to help people who have vision problems (3,000 children and adults with blindness or impaired vision).
‘After extensive research, development, and testing, we are excited to reveal our product plans and begin sharing details about this transformative platform,’ said Drew Perkins, CEO at Mojo vision. ‘Mojo has a vision for invisible computing where you have the information you want when you want it and are not bombarded or distracted by data when you don’t. The technology should be helpful, and it should be available in the moment and fade away when you want to focus on the world around you.’
Technology not only helps us live a more convenient life, but it is also one of the useful medical devices which helps and facilitates people struggling with their health problems.
